There are five 4-year medical colleges in the US that specialize in Naturopathic Medicine. The curriculum encompasses basic science courses and medical specialties such as endocrinology, neurology, pharmacology, etc. In addition, extensive training is provided in nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, environmental medicine, hydrotherapy and more. Science board exams are held at the end of 2nd year and clinic board exams at the end of 4th year. Naturopathic doctors are currently licensed in 22 states.
